    "Pearl" - a restored and customized 1973 SIlverton 25 Sportster.
    I do most of my boating single handed. So I needed to find a boat that was easy for one person to handle but had enough room for travel. I found this old Silverton back around 2000 and began what ended up being a seven year restoration project in 2007. After a year of shakedown in 2014 I began traveling further from my home base in Schenectady NY in 2015. As of 2019 I've traveled through the Erie Canal/Oswego Canal system numerous times as far west/north as Main Duck Island in Lake Ontario and east into the Hudson towards New York City. My little cruiser is still a work in progress. Probably always will be.
