Unstayed mast build for small canoe based trimaran.

I like using high strength aluminum self sealing rivets for stuff like this.

They set better if using marginal tool for stainless, eliminate the need for galvanic isolation, and they seal themselves with the tang breaking off flush with the outside head.

That's a really cool idea Gary - thanks. I don't think I can use it here without significant alterations, as the sails reef by rolling round the mast, but I am considering building a harryproa mini cargo/e25 and that would get me over strengthening the bottom of the windsurfer masts with more layers of composite, which I wasn't fancying.
