Mr Efficiency, we fish out of Shell Beach Louisiana . We do not fish offshore, although we will go into Breton Sound on good weather days. Primarily we fish the lakes, bays and bayous. There are boats just like this one around the camp with 350s on them and they do just fine. This boat will be stretched to 27, the 400 will probably cruise at 35mph and in the bays etc that's plenty doable.New Orleans is on the Gulf Coast, seems a reasonable assumption it will venture out there
Here are the other pictures I haveThere are several reasons why that might have been adopted, certainly to reduce the hull draft would be one. What is the size of the boat, existing power, any other pics ?
I would get rid of the tunnel. If you want ability to run shallow, continue the tunnel to the new transom and hang your outboard on a jackplate. But if you want pure speed, the tunnel can rob you of some of that.
Not sure why they don't show up for you. They show up on my screen. Let me try a different wayView media item 28235View media item 28234View media item 28233View media item 28232View media item 28231The pictures were not posted, Bukmaster9 ?
A big problem is it greatly interferes with the bilge space for sea chest etcI'd be tempted to keep the tunnel on that boat.
Yes, thanks for attending to thatMr Efficiency can you see the additional pictures now?
