The cabin weighs about as much as I do, so its weight is a minor contribution. Five carpenter sized men is a significant load. It might be possible to shift it forward 30cm/1'. But not more than that.

I think that if I was in that little cabin with a few big carpenters, I would probably be feeling rather claustrophobic (and I take up much less space than your average carpenter) - especially if it is all closed up in cold weather.

Well now I just feel dumb. I drew those occupants 7' tall. Here are normal sized people. Driver is 99th percentile (me). Aft passenger is average height man. That's me, 6'4" on the front deck.

Of course you could always use a design that's already been built, sea-trialed and proven.
Save you a whack of time, trouble, money, frustration, indecision, conflict, research, delays, and effort.

But that would be too easy and we know you love a challenge.

Well, I want another sea sled, suitable for my area. The SOR is clearly stated.

There is actually progress on the design. Keeping pace with my ability to actually work on the boat.
