Polyumac Air-Cell foam core

I saw Fiberglass Florida has Polyumac Air-Cell T-60 for a pretty reasonable price. I've heard Polyumac mentioned before, and for over a decade, but has anyone actually used it? How does it compare to other foam cores.

I was considering Carbon Core PVC foam for an upcoming project, but it's only 4lbs density. If the Air-Cell is as good I'd rather go with it being it's 6lbs. Thanks.

Density alone is not a good parameter to compare these foams. Shear and compressive strength would be better properties for comparison. Also, check the adhesive strength of whatever resin you are planning on using.

It's comparable to what's already on the market, and adhesion isn't an issue. I'm just looking for guys who have actually used it to give opinions. So far I've talked to 2 on other forums, both said they would use it again.

what boat and what category/seastate and what power

where sailing?

hdt is not as high as corecell M, if painting dark might want to rethink

I have multiple projects in mind, but it will be used to core a small hull extension on a displacement speed hull. The guys I've spoken to have used it for hulls, bulkheads, and soles with good results. One being a shop over on the east side of FL.

I'm not baking it so I'm not worried about heat distortion. 200f will do me just fine. Thanks.
