I have a Bass Tracker boat that has plywood and carpet inside, I would like to remove the carpet and paint the plywood, any suggestions on paint?

I’d recommend an epoxy coating first or epoxy primer like Interprotect 2000e, maybe 3 coats, repair any bad spots first with epoxy and some fairing compound. If the ply is real checked, I’d epoxy the entire surface with just epoxy and then sand it with 60 grit a bit; it’ll eat the papers, then primer 2 coats of Interprotect, then I like kiwigrip.

On the cheap, you can use enamel and throw sand into it, but it won’t be too nice.

Like mentioned, its an all or nothing type thing.

You can epoxy coat the floor, maybe even with glass, then paint..or...
Get some adequate plywood and coat it with several layers of porch paint and nonskid.

The epoxy method will last probably 3X the amount of time you'll keep or be interested in this boat. The low cost way will last at least another ten years, which is still probably longer than you will keep it.

Mere paint! Surely you mean highly refined "coating systems"!At least that's what some of them believe they are selling.It almost justifies the cost of the goop.

If it says "Marine" on the label you can be assured of superior price sorry quality.

I've had good luck with big box store porch enamel, preferably the oil based versions. I usually add some nonslip to areas that are trod upon.
