Need some advice on how to correctly remove the drive, also the best way to remove the engine, a 225 omc thanks

 

you should be able to download a manual or parts diagram. that will make it easy .

 

The very first part you buy for this boat is the appropriate manual. It's the best 30 bucks you'll spend.

 

Book is ordered, book does not always have the experience some of you may have. Sometimes experience dictates the proper procedure better than the book does.

 

You'll find the procedure is what most will recommend, which comes from the book and of course (what you're alluding to, I assume) practical experience. Sometimes there's a "work around", but most of the time, it's just pretty cut and dry. For example, removing the drive is basic stuff and everyone does it the same way, assuming they want it to come out clean, easily and without breaking stuff. The book's procedures will keep you from forgetting a bolt or clamp or something, that can hang you in the actual process.
