    That's pretty cool looking. I love the look and the concept but...

    Why is it a boat and not a simple barge and floats?

    The cost of keeping the engines running continuously will be a lot higher than anchoring the fish farm. It does give it the option of operating in very deep water though.

    the tuna wranglers in south australia could use that . they drag huge mobile tuna farms out into the great australian bite to fill with wild caught tuna each year. they cruise at 2 knots.

    I believe the idea of 'mobility' of these farms was to try and limit the situation where the sea life was constantly living and eating in its own feces infected waters.

    I'd hate to get caught in a storm on that ship. At 4 knots not much ability to get out of the way.

    And avoid the local regulations surely coming down in coastal waters. Takes the same aquaculture process and moves it to intl waters. I suppose there are pollution dilution advantages.
