Literature about making a female mould

Hello.
So i've been searching around the internet and stumbled upon this small scale boatbuilding company that uses temporary female moulds made from fiberboard, as said in the blog of the owner-they are suitable for at least 2 hulls made without any severe problems, but because it was a blog -there was no info on the process of making whatsoever, so the question is-where can i read about it?

I wonder how many people it takes to glass such a beast. The methods also need careful planning, etc. Otherwise you work yourself out of workspace.

@pironiero ,I can not recommend any book because I do not know any that talks about it, what I can do is provide you with all the necessary information, with every detail, to build the mold you need, shape of each of the parts, how to cut it, how to join it with the attached parts, ... parts list, weight of each one, assembly sequence, ... Perhaps that will allow you to learn what interests you at this moment.

Alik who posts on this forum is the owner of Albatross Marine Design. The firm does design, not construction.

The only other reference I've seen about the use of fiberboard panels for a female mold was in an article from around 2010 in Professional BoatBuilder magazine about a custom builder on the south coast of England. The article just mentioned the method of building the mold - no details.

Lets not get too carried away here, it's plug building in reverse. It works and honestly, if you need to ask how, you probably shouldn't be attempting it.

It's not new or particularly unusual, it just depends on whether it fits your needs for that particular job(s).

If you're careful you might get 2-5 parts from a particular shape. The more parts needed, the better it needs to be built. Then you need to get lucky, because it may be destroyed de-molding the first part.

are you implying making two halves of hull using same parts of the mould by flipping them 180?

you are wrong, because going to space using TAXPAYERS(other peoples) money is one thing, but disencouraging a person who is using HIS OWN money is a whole other thing, its like telling your child who is curious of something to not try it because he will probably not succeed(thus way you are stripping him of any chances), doing this you reduce probability of him growing into a both happy and successfull person to a minimum.

It is unlikely they built a plug for that mould to start. It was all done with CAD and a CNC.
