There is a 7-day edit window during which the content of a post may be edited or deleted.

After this period it becomes part of the archive and context of the forum and cannot be edited further. (The idea is that other members may reply to or refer to a post, and so it would be confusing or possibly make later posts not make sense if old posts were frequently changed.)

The marketplace forum was created to keep for-sale and more commercial posts from distracting from the main discussion forums, but there are not currently granular rules which allow different rules for a specific forum so posts in this forum are governed by the same limits as other forums. As such, if an item you posted in the marketplace forum is no longer available, please either:
1.) reply to the thread indicating that it is sold or no longer available, or
2.) click the Flag for Moderator button on the top right of the post and indicate it's sold, and the thread title will be changed to indicate (sold) and the thread closed so you will not get any further inquiries.

(Note: if there is a phone number or email address which should be removed from an older post, please either flag the post in question, send a PM to Boat Design Net Moderator, or send an email to webmaster@boatdesign.net with the URL of the post and the contact which is no longer valid or no longer wishes to receive contact.)
