Fuel consumption on a Johnson 88 SPL 90 HP

    Not sure, but maybe just a hair under recommended. Never measured them. Sounds really great. The engine does get used for trolling, so the hours are probably about 40% near top and 60% idle. Trolling here is done at 1-2.5mph depending upon species.

    I'm honestly slightly terrified to run a 90HP engine wide open on a 16' boat, but the evidence shows that this particular boat and motor has been run that way a LOT.
