    Update on the project.
After more than 2 years of hard graft the proa Slight Return was launched a few weeks ago. Finished dimensions 32' 6" loa x 3' 6" beam 14ft across the beams, Ama is 21' It was a big project, My son Nick did most of it with help from me.
The proa weighed in at a measured 400kgs or 850lds in old money.
It sails well & is remarkably well balanced & behaved to sail. We have only sailed it in a f2 - 3 & it is rather fast & its apparent that in a stronger breeze it is going to be a real handful to sail.
Focus this winter is a new mast & yards & better sail.
Not bad for a pile of GRP waste off the tip. Launch of the Slight return 1.jpg
