Building a foam plug

Thanks all for the info. Just an update that everything went well with the foam, plug and the mold. I released today the mold (very easy) and all is ok apart from a tiny small hole. See attached image.
What is the proper way to fix such a small hole in the mold?

Glad to learn it worked out.The normal procedure for a gelcoat repair should be followed, clean any wax from the periphery of the area and then apply a small quantity of the tooling gelcoat.Tape may be applied to produce a shape that is close to what is desired .Abrade to a satisfactory surface and polish, then apply release agent and make parts.
