Build Engine Pod out of aluminum angle iron?

    I really haven't looked into this much. Part of my diligence will start with a design capable of packing a 200HP.

    A & T Marine here in Barbados built a 46' semi-catamaran party boat 7 years ago with two 150 hp O/B motors on pods - I am not too sure what the plate thickness is of the pods (I will have to confirm with the builder) but I think it is about 1/4" / 6 mm.

    Rectangular tubing was used in this design to stiffen the plate and carry the loads forward. A tritoon with 200hp. IMG_20241116_151329502.jpg
