I would love to buy it from you and haul it to Croatia, where I have a home on a small island.

Hi. Thanks for getting in touch. I have hopefully managed to sell it. New buyer picking it up at the beginning of May. If the sale falls through, I’ll get back in touch. Regards, Fraser

Hi Bruce, I am the new owner of that Bucc 24, I see from this thread that you have a mountain of knowledge regarding this design. I should get delivery of my boat in the next couple of weeks after which I am sure I will have a lot of questions.I can’t wait!

congrats Jimmy on your purchase. I am not on here as often as I used to be but I will try to answer any questions, and there are several others here that I expect will help too. I was racing against my old one two weeks ago and he beat me- it still is sailing fast ;).

My father started this build in the late 80’s, sadly it was never finished. It has been stored indoors. We are looking for an individual or school that would like to finish his beloved boat. Please see the article w a bit of history. Boat is located in Port Charlotte Florida.

Hi, This is Bruce. I don't understand from your post. Are you interested in finishing it or would you like to move it on to a good home. Either way, please stay in touch. The current owner of my old 24 will probably be interested as well as a couple of my current racing crew. They all appreciate Buc's.

The pic is from our local wednesday night race this past week. This is my ex 1974 Buc 24 that had the cabin removed before I purchased it. It was damaged in a hurricane and also had a taller mast added. It is raced in a fast phrf fleet and is currently in second place for this series, it is always fast and almost unbeatable in light air. The high tech main is from a Elliot 770 that was destroyed in a storm earlier this year, we believe in recycling :)

Hi Bruce, We are looking for a new home that would keep us up to date on the progress of the build. I would love nothing more than to see it on the water. We have the house for sale and it is on the property so will need to go. Happy to chat more about the details with any interested parties.

I have a trailer that fits a B24 available so transporting it is not a problem. What is the actual status of it, whats there, what has been completed, what materials are there? Do you have current photos? What was being used to put it together (type of glue/epoxy) and what kind of ply.
I know these are a lot of questions, but the boat is 450 miles from me and I think anyone interested will want to have at least some of the answers. Please don't be offended.
    Thanks, Bruce

I am not offended.. I unfortunately just don’t have all of these answers. I live in Vermont and as I said the boat is in Florida. I didn’t think to take pictures while I was last there. The epoxy system as stated in the article is west system epoxy. It also says marine plywood from holland and France were used. I am unsure of how much material is still there and useable. The boat and materials have been under the house .. the house is elevated on pilings. I have a whole photo album of the progression of the build… but I don’t know enough to speak to percentage of completion. His partner Vivian says the main hull is complete and the amas as far as she recalls are also complete. I will try to get updated pictures. I am happy to email or post more pictures for serious inquiries.

I’m having problems uploading the new pictures. The website says the files are too big.. could I email them to you?
