Best free (and simple to use) CAD software to create general arrangement drawings?

    I'm looking for some free CAD software that is simple to use to enable me to create some general arrangement drawings etc - any suggestions?

    Actcad is a free download; it's reminding of Intellicad with full 3d capacity. But if you could spend a just a few $, go for Alibre Design, or its basic cousin Alibre atom3 (?), they have a clean and intuitive GUI, and are surprisingly capable for 3d as well.

    I use the free version of QCAD for basic 2D drawings.
