Look at the American Turbine Jet page. I understand, but could be corrected, that when Berkeley went out of the jet business, several of their people started American Turbine
Least of all, I would suspect that they would know where to get parts for your 5J

About 15 years ago, we bought several of the little 5J jets still remaining in the Berkeley stock that was bought out in its entirety by CP Performance. When I enquired about obtaining additional units a few years later, they had none left. We still have a 5J and an 8J on our shelves as display pieces. I can probably lay my hands on the 5J tech literature we found. What parts are you trying to find?

Thanks for the replies! My boat was dropped on its tail, so i need the bowl & nozzle. I believe the part numbers are L-3786 & M-5170 respectively.

I think your only chance for finding those parts is locating a used 5J. American Turbine only continued with designs based on the most popular 12J series. CP Performance bought every last piece of the original 5J inventory. While they might not have any complete pumps remaining in stock, I'd contact them to see if they had any individual parts for those.

You'll have to press your way past the typical sales person on this one because CP never added the smaller Berkeley jets to their working inventory or web site catalogs. I just knew they had them (inside info) when I bought the ones we needed for a US Navy scale model we were building at the time. They had one guy that was a wj tech specialist who knew what they had stashed away in the warehouse. I've forgotten his name..CP Performance - Jet Drives & Accessories https://www.cpperformance.com/c-13-jet-drives-accessories.aspx

Yes, I'm hoping someone has an old, worn out, 5j that I can steal the bowl & nozzle off of.... anyone, anyone?!

Yes, I plan to call CP. I believe the gentlemen's name is Rick. You mentioned his name in an old post I was reading.

It is/was indeed Rick. Good sleuthing.

I'd volunteer parts off of our 5J display unit....but its brand new.

Talked to Rick, mister personality, at CP Performance today. He said, good luck, I wasn’t going to find anything. My best chance is to find used parts.

If anyone has, or has a lead on, a used 5j5 , please let me know!

Also, does anyone know if the 6ja bowl would bolt right up to the suction piece of the 5j5?

Greetings. New to the board. I have a new out of the box 5j5 also and am finally retired and wanting to put it on a 12' pontoon I'm building. I'm wondering about lubrication and preventing water from getting into the shaft compartment. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

They are very simple jets..grease lubricated and a packing gland on the shaft. That aside...how would you install a single waterjet in a pontoon boat?

Thanks for the response! Not sure I know what a packing gland is. I have a mold for narrow sleek frp pontoons. I made 2 12' ponroons and I thought I'd mount a coosa board deck across them and below the deck make a coosa board compartment to mount the 5j5 on/in and open the deck for a belt drive.

The packing gland is essentially a seal that stops the water from coming in around the propulsion shaft of the jet.

How far advanced are the 12' pontoons that you are building? Can you post some photos of them perhaps?
And have you drawn any sketches showing the proposed arrangement for mounting the jet in a coosa board compartment between the hulls?
What make / size of engine are you proposing to install for propulsion?
Will it be sitting on the deck between the hulls?
