I am looking for a naval architect or experienced boat designer interested in collaborating on the development of a new single person foiling sport dinghy, with a later development into a 2 person version.
The concept is a modern, trailerable, high-performance foiling dinghy inspired by the...
My eyes just pop out seeing the cover of the next Wooden Boat No. 297 (March-April).
This boat is a foiling hull developed jointly by the English builder Spirit Yachts and the foiling specialists BAR Technologies.
Love at first sight it is. And you ? What is your favorite foiler ?
The start of the race is for November 8, the website is :

All the boats are now in Les Sables d'Olonne and can be seen from the pontoon by the public. Here is a video made by a visitor showing all the boats one by...
This guy is only 5'4" at the same scale of the concept model(1.5"=1'). See the thread for more images of WOLFMAN. He's helpful in getting a better idea of the actual size of the boat and various components.

Upside down view of retracted foils. Rudder foil above bottom(right side up). Main foil flush with bottom and tips designed to try to prevent them digging in to the sand. Ama foils don't touch sand when right side up with boat level.....
WOLF is designed to be an extremely comfortable, easy to sail foiler that can take off in a 5-6mph wind. The boat is 14.8'LOA and 16' wide using a unique folding system that makes trailering easy. WOLF uses the Fire Arrow Foil System pioneered on the Fire Arrow Test Model with the basic system...

This is the actual pattern I made for the sailmaker and which I couldn't resist putting on the boat just to see how it looks.
It's 1900 sq.in(13.2 sq.ft.) and good up to about a 10mph wind(8.7knots) as long as the boat is equipped with a Trapeze Power Ballast System and is foiling. The rotating...
Sailed in very light air-never picked up more than the 2mph it was when we got to the site. Moved and tacked very well for such light air. Check out the thread here for video and more...

This is a Curved Twisted Surface Piercing T-Foil- or Ctwist batfoil for short. It is an experimental foil to be tested on the D4Z RC cat and on the Fire Arrow Test model. For more, go here...

These are more pictures of the boat with no writing superimposed on the picture. These were taken on her first day of full flying foiling-only her fourth day of sailing-with only about 2 hours testing before foiling! Much more to come...

You know, its often said, that a boat floating right on its waterline is well designed. Well, the little red line you see on the main foil was put there to mark the anticipated design flight waterline well before she ever foiled......
The conditions were terrible for this stage of testing but I sailed anyway-and am learning a lot because of it. I had a blast and the boat did well considering her skippers learning curve and the sheet system breakdown.
I know now that the foil system works and the boat flies!
here are the pics of the SR-71 monofoil, it was designed to a design I've been working on for a 4 meter monofoil trap boat class (SR-71) , it will eventually have hiking wings and foils, but I'm still working on them.....
