    Well, that's painful to watch!

    Should be an easy payout on that one (insurance wise).

    I hope so.
    The owners of Eleonora will have to claim off their Insurers, and then their Insurers will try to claim off the Insurers of the tug / supply boat.
    This is discussed quite a lot in the YBW thread mentioned in my previous post.

    Eleonora was for sale at the time of the accident, with an asking price of 6.9 million Euros.
    I assume that she would have been insured for a similar amount (?) - but I hate to think what her replacement cost would be today if a new yacht was built now - perhaps twice that figure?

    Sad news, but inevitable really - it would not have been viable to try to restore Eleonora.

    I hope that she was well insured, and that her owner will commission another Eleonora to be built in due course.
