Colvics often carry as much ballast as a fisher, so without a rig, will be somewhat "corky" in a seaway. Although a bit smaller, the Swedish Albin 27 might suit, the hull was designed to be very economical, and the rigs are small and easily handled. There are many without the rig. Comparitively cheap to some others on the market, but well built.

For some reason, I have overlooked this nice Albin - probably because my "selection" started at 28 feet. But I'm going to look at it much more carefully. Thanks for pointing me in that direction!

I suggest a browse on Blocket. I will add a link to a search page for the Albins up for sale.

"albin 25" - Motorbåt säljes i hela Sverige | Blocket

Thank you skaraborgcraft.I was not familiar with this website, and indeed it looks very "productive". I'm going to dig deeper there.

I have seen a few in the UK for sale, but its an interesting trip from the Baltic to Brittany via canals/coast. There are no official small boat registration in Sweden, so taking a boat into the EU raises a few questions if you are not a Swede passport holder. Easy enough to register a boat in Poland for little cost and keeps everything "EU".

As one possibly looking to move to Brittany, is there any sites other than Leboncoin to find sailboats?

Ah! I've never bought a boat in Sweden before, so I'm not at all familiar with the bureaucracy here and there. I'm not quite ready to look into it, but I may get back to you for details in due time. Thanks in advance.
I'm sure I would love the trip from Sweden to Brittany!
Regarding boats in Brittany: Le bon coin is a very good source, particularly for boats sold directly by their owners. Yacht brokers advertise on Le bon coin too, so there's some duplication with "professional" websites. Among those, I would check at least Bateaux d’occasion et neufs à vendre - Annonces du Bateau https://www.annoncesbateau.com, yatchworld.com, boat24.com and inautia.fr.
On a side note, I live near Saint Malo (though I'm boating during the summer months) and if I may be of assistance, let me know.

Many thanks Jackgyver. Maybe back in Quimper/Gulvinac next month if plans allow.

Good! I'm not sure where I'll be next month, but make sure to keep me informed.
