    I've had two vehicles that did that. Both ended up being related to rust/debris in the fuel line. Would run then die. Sit for awhile & fuel would trickle back in repeat.

    & the harder you press down on the gas pedal they'd jerk as they ran out of gas.

    If just barely press gas would run much longer. Pressing down the debris would block the fuel flow.
