Intermittent Miss

    Gee....?? I wonder if that could be because the carb is a major source of problems ?? Pretty basic, really - spark is the other.

    Now I'm really baffled. I set the little tach up on the 15 hp Johnson on the bigger boat and it works, but is some intermittent. OK, took it off and connected it to upper, then lower cylinders of the 15 Force. That miss I showed in the video is more pronounced at some rpms and what I thought was one cylinder dropping is really both. It'll be running, then exhaust note ends....there'll be a second or 2 pause, then it'll pick up smooth again without actually quitting.

    As I said, the tach is intermittent, too, but watching carefull

    Did you run it in the dark like I told you? A fireworks show means you gotta redo the wiring.

    Both cylinders dropping out is something related to the things they share which is the flywheel and the crank.

    Good thought, but I hafta remember to get out there. Not used to thinking about wrenching after dark. Forgot last night....maybe tonight.
