    Maybe the designer William Hand Jr. named her after his father (and himself), or there was an owner who liked to honor the designer by naming the boat after him ?

    ( Edit: the post #5 video tells the latter was the later cause of the William Hand namesake. )

    As a pretty little one (compared to above) this one could also do well I think, and she's of modern materials and construction . . :)

    Mark Smaalders' 2013 designed 37' LOD Kahuna Nui pilothouse version, WoodenBoat has a bit more info . . .

    Note the starboard seats/berth in the pilothouse, feet in the trotter box, and quite a large head in the bow.

    Angelique, thanks for the interior shot of the deckhouse on the "William Hand"-gave me my first glimpse of what the inside must have been like on my fathers Hand designed "Ungava". All the surviving pictures are of the exterior......

    Since she was from the same builder and era it's quite plausible UNGAVA had the same style and quality of interior finish . . :)
