83' Hand Designed Motorsailer

    Thanks ,Angel-I just registered. She was a great boat!! The flying bridge and aft covered cockpit was my Dads design and done by Higgins in New Orleans.
    She was the first model boat I ever built......
    I can't remember the original builders name but it was a famous Maine boat builder.
    Found it: Hodgdon Bros.. I've written to them to see if they have any info.

    Oh, I think she was a true motorsailer: just the other day I was going thru an old box of pictures and found one of her under sail with a main and jib! I'll try to post it when I get the chance.

    The Last Part of the Story:
    Dad sold the boat to the Brazilian Oceanographic Society-sometime afterward it was at sea and there was a fire and she sank in 20 minutes. Below is the clipping(in two parts) sent to us by Brazilian friends while we were living on a much smaller boat at Dinner Key(Miami) :
