So we have this boat made/designed by Rob Shirley I believe. It's a Pro 42 and the jet drive is pretty much obsolete now and besides that it never really did work in my opinion so now that I have a suitable transmission I'm wanting to make the jump into the conversion.

The boat is 42' and 13' (estimated it's not here at the dock currently) it has a 315 Cummins 6bta in it rated at 2800 rpm. The transmission I have is a ZF 85A and prop is 26x25 with a 2 inch bore. I estimate the engine flywheel is about 10 feet in front of the stern.

I need to come up with a strut, rudder, (keel?) design plan and I also need to know if I might have to move the engine forward. I'm not against having a prop pocket if need be. I'll try to put up some pictures of a sister boat.
