    More Eric Sponberg articles

I have added a link to a web page that gives access to Eric's articles other than the design ratios.

I've really appreciated the effort it took for Mr.Sponberg to write and make this available.

Recently I came across this article by Gerr, http://www.oceannavigator.com/March-April-2012/More-efficient-power-voyaging/ , that also contains these formulas: one for Transport Efficiency and the other for expected "hull speed" related to Displacement Length ratio. This last is: maximum SL ratio = 8.26 / (0.311*DL ratio).
