I rigged the sail so that the boom just clears the frame, and on this day, I also put in a reef. That lowered the centre of effort enough that the boat barely heeled with the foil to weather. I use a small inflatable kayak inflated inside the canoe both for buoyancy in case of swamping or capsize, and to provide comfortable seating.
