Amberjack is a light displacement motorboat designed for comfort and economy for a couple who like coastal or canal cruising. Her light displacement allows for economical build. The hull would be sheathed strip planking. Fiberglass construction would also be an option.
This boat, although a 45 footer needs only 50 - 100 hp as opposed to most heavy displacement boats which nowadays have 150 to 250 hp. As of now, this boat is still in the concept stage.
